MUSCLE FOODS RECALL VARIOUS MEAT PRODUCTS DUE TO INCORRECT USE BY DATES
Muscle Foods have recalled meat products following concerns over labelling and use-by dates.
The Food Standards Agency undertook an unannounced inspection of their supplier, DB Foods. They had some concerns over procedures at DB Foods for use-by dates on some products which did not meet the legal requirements. The decision to recall was taken by Muscle Food.
Muscle Food products are sold directly via its website. They are contacting all affected customers.
Muscle Food will arrange a courier to pick the products up, and provide a full refund for the items.
The Food Standards Agency say that there is no indication that people have become ill from eating meat supplied by DB Foods. Investigations into the procedures used by the supplier continue with local authorities.
